Pulseboard
Real-time analytics for lean SaaS teams who don't have a data engineer.
Pulseboard started as an internal tool I built to answer one question: “are we actually growing?” Most analytics products either assume you already have a data team, or flatten everything into vanity metrics. I wanted something in between. Fast to set up, honest about the numbers, and built for founders who check it every morning with their coffee.
Under the hood, Pulseboard ingests events and billing data into a columnar store optimized for the kinds of rollups early-stage teams actually care about: activation, retention cohorts, and expansion revenue. The frontend is deliberately sparse. No vanity charts, no configuration maze, just the handful of numbers that matter, updated in near real time.
I shipped the first version in six weeks and have kept it running in production for three SaaS companies since, with zero on-call pages related to the analytics pipeline itself.
